Force Contracting Services are a well established and successful Civil Engineering contractor operating across the UK & Europe. We have experienced a period of sustained growth and are subsequently looking to expand our Commercial Department by adding an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. FCS operate in 5 main sectors; Infrastructure/Utilities, Civil Engineering, Rail, Nuclear & Property Development. The SQS will prepare tender and contract documents, undertake cost analysis and assist in establishing a client's requirements. Whilst undertaking feasibility studies, preparing and issuing cost models where requests arise. There will be an element of travel involved due to the locations of our projects. The role will also require but is not exclusive to :- * Perform risk, value management and cost control * Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks * Prepare and analyse costings for tenders * Allocate work to subcontractors * Provide advice on contractual claims * Undertake cash flow forecast on projects of a complex programme * Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports * Value completed work and arrange payments * Month end reporting and financial reconciliation of cost & value Requirements: * Degree qualified or equivalent * Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar capacity * Hold a current UK Drivers Licence and able to drive If this sounds like a position that may be of interest, please email an up-to-date CV across to the email address provided
