Pollution Control Manager

Sharper Consulting Services is assisting our client in Hampshire to hire a Pollution Control Manager for their Environmental Protection Team. Full Time Hours Permanent Salary: £47,917 - £51,470 per annum Key Responsibilities: * Lead, support, and mentor the Pollution Control team * Act as the council's expert on pollution control matters * Develop and improve policies and procedures * Promote and enforce pollution control standards * Provide expert advice on statutory nuisances, environmental permitting, planning consultation, land contamination, air and water quality, drainage, and public health * Manage pollution enforcement and environmental monitoring * Advise various council teams and leadership on pollution control * Manage the team’s budget efficiently * Produce service plans and performance data Qualifications and Experience: * BSc or MSc in Environmental Health or a related scientific discipline * Knowledge and experience in environmental enforcement and relevant legislation * Understanding of planning processes and mitigation of development impacts on pollution * Ability to manage a team, set clear priorities, and address performance issues
