Groundwork Ganger

Ganger – (Huddersfield) – Fulltime Long term work 5-10 years available for the right candidates with the correct cards and tickets and want a stable job and income for the foreseeable future. Location: Huddersfield Start Date: Monday 9th September PAYE basis On Offer: * Pay Rate: £18-£19 per hour * Day and Night Shifts available * Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays) * Pension * Training and upskilling paid for * Safe working environment * Free PPE * Secure regular income Overtime When Available: * Monday - Friday – Time and a Third Pay * Saturday - Sunday – Time and a Half Pay Candidates must have: * Full understanding of all aspects and responsibilities of a Ganger * Good level of experience of Groundworks, Concrete Finishing, Plant Op Tickets * Experience in the site preparation for, bases, foundations and trenches. Drainage, kerbing and slabbing. * The experience of supervising a small team of operatives * Expected to lead by example in a working supervisory position * Carry out any tasks assigned by overseeing operatives/Foreman with regards to safety working to method * CSCS Gold supervisor card * SSSTS or SMSTS Preferred * CSCS Gold Supervisors card having achieved or working towards an NVQ for a particular skill * SMSTS - site managers safety training scheme (5 days) * IPAF 3a 3b ticket * EUSR ticket * cat and jenny ticket * safe digging * Manual handling * First aid at work (4 day). * Driving license So, if you want to work for a main contractor that cares about their tradesmen, then this is your opportunity to apply and join the project now!
